Will Rod Believers Slay Seventh-day Adventists?

The reapers are the angels’ who “shall come shall forth, and sever the wicked from among the just.”  Matt. 13:39, 49.  These angels are not those who shall ‘come’......

**Will Rod Believers Slay Seventh-day Adventists?**

The answer is NO absolutely not. This work will be accomplished by angels. This gross misconception surrounds the Rod's teaching of Ezekiel Chapter Nine, where the Bible mentions that. . . six men came from the way of the higher gate which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand. Then the Lord instructed one of them to seal those who sigh and cry for the wrongs in the church, and the other five to slay those who were not sealed. (See verses 4 - 7). The message teaches that this event is to take place within God's last day church and that it will be literally fulfilled. That is, this judgement from God will physically remove all the unconverted in modern Jerusalem the Seventh-day Adventist Church God's church today. That may sound shocking, but Ellen White, God's servant, agrees:

Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words WILL BE literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them . . .

Here we see that the church--the Lord’s Sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God.

Of course, the stroke of God has always been literal.  The Bible concurs. Ezekiel saw slain or dead bodies (verse 7). Thus it is a real or physical judgment not a spiritual one. Besides, there is no such thing as a spiritual slaughter. Search the Bible, you won’t find such a thing. People can be spiritually dead ( 1 Timothy 5:6 ), but not spiritually slain!

Time or space will not permit us to expound on the subject in full since it will be covered in more detail later on. But we can see plainly that the destruction described in Ezekiel Nine is future and literal. (Also for further details on the subject, please order our cassette studies or literature from address listed at the back of this book). Now with this in mind, we can come back to the question at hand: Will Rod believers do the slaying?   Again the answer is NO. The Rod has consistently taught that angels, not people, will do the separation.  Victor Houteff put it this way:

The reapers are the angels’ who “shall come shall forth, and sever the wicked from among the just.” Matt. 13:39, 49. These angels are not those who shall ‘come’ with Christ at His second coming, but rather those whom He ‘shall send forth.” . . .Therefore the angels, the reapers, whom Christ sends forth, include both him who does the sealing, or binding, and those who follow on to do the destroying (Ezek. 9:2,5,), First in the church, then in the world.”

Note that at the command of the Lord, the angels in charge are to slay the sinners in Jerusalem (in the church), not in the world.
